 Austin Murphy is back to defend his title |
The ACUI Collegiate Championship at the Minnesota State University is complete, and the BCA Junior National players got started on Thursday in all four divisions.
One of the four champions from last year, Austin Murphy, is back looking for another taste of victory this year.
Murphy's opponent in the finals of the 14 & Under Boys division, Ryan Dunn, is back this year but he has moved up to the 19 & Under Boys Division. Dunn had the misfortune of running into last year's 19 & Under runner up Chad Palmer in round one this year, but Dunn came out with the 9-7 victory.
In the ladies 19 & Under division, last year's runner-up Mary Rakin is back and looking to better her finish from last year. Rakin caught a bye on Thursday and will face Alexandra Calabrese on Friday.
The 14 & Under Girls division looks to be wide open with defending champion Liz Lovely not in attendance and runner-up Chelsea Hardwick playing in the 19 & Under girls division.
