Drexeline Billiards in Drexel Hill PA was where the Hampton Ridge 9 Ball Tour 14th Stop was held this past weekend. Special thanks to owner Bob Maidhof. who's place is looking great with new lights, and tables that play great. Bob's place just keeps on getting better every time we hold an event there. 45 strong players made it out to play, players like Points leader Matt Krah, Danny Basavich, Claude Marrier, Keith McCready, Lee Holt, Josh Brothers, Frankie Hernandez, Tony Rodriguez, Al Lapena, Shaun Wilkie, Bob Weimer, Phil Sherman, Mike Miller and Young Kenny Rutman, to name a few.
Leading the way on the top half of the winners side was Keith McCready with wins over KC Wagman 7-3, Larry Ingram 7-6, Mhet Vergara 7-2 and Josh Brothers 7-6.
Leading the way on the bottom half of the winners side was Danny Basavich with wins over Gerald Rodgers 7-3, Lee Holt 7-2, Al Lapena 7-5, and Claude Marrier 7-3.
Play for the hot seat was Keith McCready vs Danny Basavich in a rematch of a couple of weeks ago. Different tournament, same results as Basavich took control of the match early and never looked back winning the match 7-3 and sending McCready to the one loss side.
Making his way through the one loss side was Claude Marrier with wins over Mike Miller 7-4, Josh Brothers 7-5, and Keith McCready 7-4 to get to the finals. In the finals it was Danny Basavich vs Claude Marrier. Basavich jumped out to a 7-2 lead in a race to 9, but Marrier came right back winning the next 4 games to make the score 7-6 Basavich. Basavich woke up in the next 2 games by running out when he got a chance giving him the match 9-6 and the 14th stop of the Hampton Ridge 9 Ball Tour.
