Barry Behrman has decided to break with tradition and Will Pay the WPA sanctioning fee for the US Open out of his own pocket rather than subtracting it from the players prize awards. This, along with the past champion's entry fees, means that Behrman will be putting more than $10,000 into the pot out of his own pocket. Our thanks go out to Mr. Behrman for his generosity and for being among the handful of promoters who view the sanctioning fee as a standard business expense and not as a fee that should be paid for by the players.
