James Baraks dominated a field of some of the top action players in the US at the Big Orange Classic II held at Breakers Billiards in Knoxville, TN this weekend.
The field contained such top talent as Shannon Daulton, Corey Deuel, Tony Watson, Shawn Putnam and Ronnie Wiseman but in the end it was Baraks notching yet another tournament for his resume. Baraks took the hot-seat with a 9-2 win over Scott Hafley and then after Hafley eliminated Shawn Putnam on the one-loss side, Baraks defeated Hafley again 9-3 for the tournament win.
Baraks has been on a hot-streak lately including a win at the Memphis Classic Super 9 Ball II in August when he defeated Jeremy Jones twice, a tournament win in Mississippi last month where he defeated Shannon Daulton in the finals, and a recent second place finish on the Midwest Tour where he lost to Jesse Bowman in the finals. Baraks credits his streak of hot play to his wife Lisa who has provided him with great support.
Baraks collected $2000 for the win, while Hafley settled for $1000. Putnam and Deuel filled out the top four spots.
The winner take all 10-ball event on Saturday was won by Shannon Daulton who defeated Corey Deuel in the finals.
