Atwell cruised to the hot-seat and waited for an opponent in the finals. Early on, it looked like that opponent might be Damian Alishan. After a loss to Al Perez, Alishan was taking down opponents on the one-loss side until he ran into Kenny Dodd in the match for 3rd and 4th. The match went hill-hill when Alishan played a great safety to hook Dodd. It looked like a jump shot was the best response, but Dodd didn't even have a jump cue. No worries for Dodd though, as he borrowed a cue from Mike Stevens, jumped over the offending ball to hit his object ball and caromed in the 9-ball for good measure.
Dodd then dropped a match to Raul Abenojar and was forced to settle for third place.
Abenojar stayed close to Atwell through the first half of the finals, but at 6-6, Atwell took control and won seven of the next eight games for a 13-7 victory.
Atwell collected $900 for first, while Abenojar settled for $625 in second place prize money. Dodd and Alishan filled out the top four spots.
