Johnny Archer continues to close the gap between himself and points leader Shane Van Boening on the BCA Points List.
With his win at the Turning Stone Classic XI, Archer is now within 22 points of taking the top spot from Van Boening.
Both players will be looking towards the US Open 9-Ball Championship, the next event that will be included on the points list. While Van Boening does still have a 21 point lead over Archer, last year's US Open will be falling off the points list during this year's event. Last years event falling off the list will erase a 130 point advantage for Van Boening as he won the event last year and Archer finished in a disappointing 13th place.
Archer is not the only player to ride a strong finish at the Turning Stone event to a better position on the points list. Turning Stone runner-up Charlie Williams climbed from 31st place to 11th place and third place finisher Raj Hundal jumped from 16th place to 5th place.
