Johnny Archer has defeated Max Eberle Sunday morning at the Fury World Summit of Pool being held at Amsterdam Billiards in New York, NY.
The match took place on the one-loss side and Eberle is now eliminated with a fourth place finish and a check for $3500.
Max won the first game of the match, but Archer won the next two including a 9-ball break in the third rack. A missed combination by Archer in the sixth rack allowed Eberle to pull even at 3-3 and Eberle then broke and ran the next three racks for a 6-3 lead. Those three racks would be the last racks Eberle would win as Archer won the next 8 racks including two separate three-packs of his own.
The match for the hot-seat between Santos Sambajon and Jose Parica is scheduled next, and Archer will then take on the loser of that match.
