Day three is complete at the SML Entertainment 9-Ball Championship and the top players who were started the day on the winners side stayed on the winners side. Unfortunately, the top player on the one-loss side was the first top seed eliminated from the event.
Corey Deuel, who dropped a match to Danny Hewitt on Wednesday night, bounced back with an 11-2 win over Mark Nickle to start play on Thursday. That match was followed up with an 11-8 loss to DJ McGinley to eliminate Deuel from the event.
On the winners side, the top US players continued their string of dominating wins. Johnny Archer, Earl Strickland and Danny Basavich all joined reigning World Champion Alex Pagulayan in round four undefeated. Archer has now won three matches with a combined score of 33-8.
