Omega Billiards Supply is proud to announce the formation of the Omega Billiards Tour! The Omega Billiards Tour will be an OPEN tour for the numerous, talented, and beginning pool players alike in the Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) area.
Each stop will be at LEAST $1,000 guaranteed added, with ¼ of the field paid. The tournaments will be handicapped and allow all levels of players to compete in great environments.
The inaugural stop will be held Oct 6-7, 2012 at Rusty’s Billiards in Fort Worth, Texas. The second stop will be held Nov 24-25 at Speed’s Billiards in Arlington, Texas. We plan to have around 6 stops each year.
Co-founder and Tournament Director Melinda Bailey states, “The Omega Billiards Tour is FOR the players, so they can compete in the game they love and improve their skills.”
With several Tours in other areas of the large state of Texas, the DFW players were missing out. Brian Anderson, Tournament Director and co-founder of the Tour, expressed the desire behind the formation, “Everyone had to travel far each month to find a good Tour/tournaments. The area is so primed with talented pool players clambering to compete and we thought this would be the perfect breeding ground for a Tour.”
Michael Hoang, the owner of Omega Billiards Supply agreed, “We have a great opportunity in the Dallas / Fort Worth area to bring a Tour to the players. I immediately was on board to support the players and the growth of our sport.”
