The Omega Billiards Tour is proud to announce a new and exciting partnership with FargoRate.com. After 4 years of running a handicapped tournament, and after several years of the Fargo Ratings becoming established, it was the perfect time to start the 2017 Omega Tour season with this new partnership for the Omega Tour players
The Omega Billiards Tour was formed with a handicapped platform to allow all levels of players to compete; from beginners to pros. Handicapped Tours are best when the players’ handicaps are set and established by established data.
As Melinda Bailey, Tournament founder and Director of the Omega Billiards Tour, says, “Setting handicaps by only known ability has several disadvantages and we noticed this more and more the last couple of years. Using the Fargo Ratings is a set and researched methodology to determining a players’ handicap. We are very excited about this partnership using the Fargo Ratings, and so are the players. “
Mike Page, who, along with Steve Ernst, developed FargoRate, says, “We are excited the Omega Billiards Tour will now use FargoRate to rate its players. Fargo Ratings are fast becoming the standard for rating pool players at all levels, and we applaud this forward-thinking decision of the Omega Billiards Tour. The players are the winners here.”
Melinda Bailey added, “The Omega Billiards Tour was started for the players, so they can compete in the game they love and improve their skills. Using Fargo Ratings to set and adjust the handicaps as the year goes on will allow for a more equal and fair playing field on the tour.”
The Omega Billiards Tour is sponsored by Omega Billiards and brought to you by ACME Cases – “the Pinnacle of Protection.” Additional contributing sponsors include CSI, OB Cues, AZBilliards.com, and Billiardspress.com.
