Amanda Lampert wins back to back Houston Open titles as she goes undefeated through the 36 women on April 3,2005 at Legends Billiards in League City TX.
With Legends Billiards adding $500.00 this event was filled with some great talent including Kim Pierce, Heather Pulford, Belinda Lee, Corina Campbell and Amanda Lampert.
Katherine Carmichael is a new player who had a solid 5th-6th place finish along with Helen Hayes. Look out for them in future events! Corina Campbell landed in 4th place after losing a hill-hill match to Amanda on the winners side and then hill-hill to Kim Pierce on the other side.
In the hot seat match it was Heather Pulford and Amanda Lampert with Amanda Taking the hot seat by the score line of 7-2. Kim Pierce found herself in 3rd place after fighting to win back to back hill to hill matches against Helen Hayes and Corina Campbell. It was apparent that she had giving all she had as she could not stop Heather from winning the chance to play Amanda for the title. Heather has been playing solid winning tournaments all across Texas but Amanda would not let go of the title as rolled past Heather 7-1 in the finals to win her second Houston Open title. Congratulations go out to all the women for showing up and playing hard.
