Aldridge wins Cedar Rapids All American Tour Stop

The thirty-sixth stop on the 2010-2011 Lucasi Hybrid All American Tour (produced by the American CueSports Alliance - ACS) was produced in Cedar Rapids, IA, on Saturday, March 5.  The $500 added event featured a 16-player field in a double-elimination 8-ball format on 7-foot Valley bar boxes.  Local Steve Aldridge (Cedar Rapids, IA), rated a "4"on a regional handicap system used, took advantage of his spot to complete his trip to the hot seat via an A-side semifinals win over D.J. Wolrab [4] (Cedar Rapids, IA) 4-2 and an A-side finals decision over Scott Kitto [7] (Marion, IA) 4-6.

The B-side witnessed Anthony Garcia [6] (Cedar Rapids, IA) and D.J. Wolrab being dispatched in 5th place at the hands of Ron Pluym (Dubuque, IA) [6] 6-4 and Bryan Chapman [5] (Cedar Rapids, IA) 5-3 respectively.  In turn Pluym ended Chapman's run at 4th place by a 6-3 margin.  Scott Kitto stopped Pluym's run at 3rd place - 7-4, earning Scott a final's shot against Aldridge.  With the tourney title on the line, Steve Aldridge [4] kept pace with Scott Kitto [7] to record a 4-4 victory!

By virtue of Steve Adridge being the highest-finishing ACS member in the event, he qualified for a free 9-Ball singles entry into the 2011 Lucasi Hybrid ACS Nationals at the Tropicana Las Vegas - courtesy of the ACS.  The ACS wishes to thank sponsors Lucasi Hybrid Cues, Championship Billiard Fabric and Nick Varner Signature Cases for their support in donating "Value-In-Kind"product for this and all stops on the Lucasi Hybrid All American Tour.
