The 37th edition of The Greatest Pool Tournament in the World! moved to the fabulous Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas for July 2013. The month of July was more suited for players and families to take their vacations, and the event drew far more attendees to stay at the host hotel than ever before. Well over 6,000 amateurs and professionals participated, with over 9,000 entries into over 40 events.
The 37th BCAPL National Championships included (25) 8-Ball and (5) 9-Ball events, and the 3rd USAPL National Championships hosted amateur handicapped singles and team 8-Ball events.
There were (3) professional tournaments produced by CueSports International (CSI), the US Open One Pocket Championship, the US Open 10-Ball Championship and the US Open 8-Ball Championship. CSI also hosted special guest events, most notably the 2013 WPA World Artistic Pool Championships and the 2013 US Junior National 9-Ball Championships by BEF, along with the 3rd Predator High Run Challenge, a 6 Pocket Challenge, and a national tournament by Texas Bumps.

The events were contested on well over 300 Diamond pool tables (making this the largest pool event in the world), using Simonis cloth, and the new Cyclop balls. The prize funds paid out totaled $800,000 for all events, and ran for 12 days, starting July 17th and ending July 28th.
A record number of sponsors supported the 2013 events, including the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino (Official Host Venue), Mueller Recreational Products (Official Billiard Products), Diamond Billiard Products (Official Table), Iwan Simonis (Official Cloth), Cyclop (Official Pool Ball), Predator (Official Cue - Pro Events), OB (Official Cue - Amateur Events), and The American Cuemakers Association (Sponsor - US Open 8-Ball Championships).
CSI also enjoyed the support of key affiliates: TheActionReport.com, Bad Boys Billiard Productions, Magic Ball Rack, Billiards Digest, Delta-13.com, and Tweeten Fibre Company.
The participants enjoyed a billiard expo, with over 60 companies offering a diverse selection of apparel, billiards goods, and other recreational products.
