Billiard Sensations to Wow Scarborough

Toronto, Ontario June 7,2011— Two former world Champions and a bright young star will join the top
overall player at this year's Canadians in a Clash of the Titans Scarborough, Ontario at Shooter's
Snooker Club on August 12-14,2011 at 6pm. This event has a total purse of $16,000 where the four
players will be playing for the first prize of $6,000. This event is an annual event which is sponsored by
the CPA in the East Toronto Area, Shooter's Snooker Club and Le Spot billiards.
The format of this event is APA/CPA 9 ball race to 75 points best of 3 for the round robin. The Semi-
Finals and Finals will be race to 5. There will also be a Scotch Doubles Tourney where each pro will be
partnered with 4 lucky CPA members from the C07 area who purchased the 3 day event pass. The total
purse will be $1000.
Alex Pagulayan a local icon in the billiard community and has won the :(2008) World Pool Masters
Winner,(2007) World Summit of Pool Winner,(2006) Philippine National Champion,(2005) Philippines
Snooker Team Gold Medal,(2005) US Open Nine-ball Championship Winner and (2002) World Pool
Trickshot Champion. Shane Van Boening who just won the U.S Open 9-Ball Championships. Shane has
also won numerous tournaments which include 2007 US open 9 ball Champion,2007 Predator World 10
Ball Champion and 2008 World Cup of Pool Champion just to name a few. John Morra who is coming up
the ranks and had a successful 2010-11 year with 1st place at Reno Bar Box Championships in 10 Ball
and runner up in 8 Ball and is sponsored by John and Kelly Croft of the CPA in the East Toronto area.
This event is not just a tournament for the Pro's. This event will give all players from all skill levels a
chance to interact with these champions and get autographs, pictures and a chance to play them in
challenge matches. There will also be Mini Tournaments, raffles and free giveaways. All the pool you
can play for the entire weekend for free since it's included in the ticket admission.
This event is a closed event. To come watch and join in the fun, there are tickets for sale. For Cpa
members in the C07 area tickets cost $60 which includes a 3 day pass and FREE pool for the entire 3 day
event. They will also get a draw ticket for a chance to play Scotch doubles with the Pro for $1000 and a
gift. For day passes the cost is $25 per day which includes FREE Pool. For non CPA members the cost
is $45 a day or $110 for the 3 day pass which includes FREE pool and a gift.
