International Billiards, Professional Pool Player Kim White, Bogies Billiards, and the Hunter Classics Amateur Women's Tour are hosting a charity event to raise money for custom cuemaker and player Annie Mayes (of AO Custom Cues). Anne Mayes has Nonsmall Cell Carcinoma, Stage IV cancer.
The benefit will include a silent auction, 9-ball tournament, and raffles. Monies raised will be given to Anne Mayes who doesn't have health insurance, to help cover recent hospital stays and other medical costs.
Raffle:
Raffle tickets can be purchased at Bogies Billiards Oct 13th -14th from Kim White. Items will be raffled off every hour starting at 5pm Saturday Oct 13th throughout Sunday afternoon around 5pm. Tickets will be sold all day Saturday and Sunday.
Silent Auction:
The silent auction will start Saturday and Sunday afternoon. Items will be awarded around 5pm on Sunday. Items will include furniture from International Billiards, other billiard items, and some surprises!
Tournament:
Players need to sign up between 7pm and 8pm on Saturday, October 13th at Bogies Billiards. Play will start shortly after 8pm. Entry fee is only $15. The 9-ball tournament will feature prizes for 1st through 4th place, including ‘Last Lady' receiving an additional prize. 1st place will be an Annie O Custom Cue, donated by Bogies Billiards.
The Hunter Classics Amateur Women's Tour will be having a tournament at Bogies Billiards this same weekend, which is open to all women (except pros). Anne is a member of the Hunter Classics Tour, was part owner of the Heart of Tejas Tour, and was also a pro player of the WPBA in the 80s.
