The October 28-29 weekend featured three 2006/2007 McDermott All American Tour stops around the country, one of them being a $1,000 added 8-ball event with forty-one players, hosted by owner Dwaine Bowman at Leisure Time Billiards in E. Moline, Illinois, on Saturday. The American CueSports Alliance-produced event featured a double-elimination format on bar boxes, and Jamey Bowman of E. Moline, Illinois, ran undefeated through the field. In the hot-seat match, Bowman – rated a “5” on a regional handicap system used - clipped Jim LaFavre (Sterling, IL), also rated a “5”, 5-4. Jamey had earlier clipped his brother, Jesse [6], 5-5 and Dan Kuhl [5] 5-4. In the loser's bracket, Rich Bideaux [5] (Moline, IL) eliminated Jesse Bowman [6] (E. Moline, IL) 5-5; LaFavre ousted Bideaux 5-4; and Dan Kuhl [5] (Davenport, IA) outgunned Jeremy Schroeder [4] (Iowa City, IA) 5-3. In the loser's bracket finals, Kuhl upended LaFavre 5-4, to share the final's seat with Bowman. The finals featured another hill-hill match, as Bowman claimed the title in the first set by a 5-4 decision over Kuhl.
