Thirty-Two players chose not to bask on the Palm Beach, Florida beaches and instead enjoyed equally blistering play at this past weekend's J. Pechauer Southeast Open 9-Ball Tour. The two day $1000 added event was hosted at Victory Billiards and the entrants played on 9' Brunswick Gold Crowns.
As with each event, the tournament donated a portion of the entry fees to a local community non-profit. THe higest woman to finish in the event was Mimi McAndrews and the highest fninshing junior player was Mike Mallen. Each took home $50 for their superb efforts.
After a hill-hill hot seat match against Hunter Lombardo, John Rouse gathered a second wind and went on to win the event in the final race to 11 against tour regular Randy Epperson 11-2.
The total purse was $2090.00 with the payouts as follows:
1st John Rouse $690.00
2nd Randy Epperson $500.00
3rd Hunter Lombardo $350.00
4th Rick Sanchez $250.00
5th/6th John Ditoro and Nathan Rose $150.00
