Twelve talented ladies stepped into Fastbreak Billiards in Longwood, Florida on February 18th for the second stop of the KBP Tiger Ladies tour season. New member Monica Riley plowed through the field to take her first KBP title.
Riley had her work cut out for her in the third round when she met last stop's winner, Jennifer Nelson. Nelson had just defeated Robin Boggs in a close 7-5 battle to advance and met another tough opponent in Riley. Riley's shot making escalated her to a hill-hill match against Nelson and Riley pulled out the shots to close the last game and move on to the hot seat.
Also on her game was another fairly new member, Sandy Hamor. Hamor demonstrated her offensive power to make an undefeated trek through the winner's bracket to meet Riley in the hot seat. Hamor made the most of her opportunities against Riley and drove to a 7-4 win to make it into the finals while sending Riley left.
On the B-side Jessica Barnes defeated Courtney Bernard to get into the semifinals against Riley. Barnes and Riley fought it out till it was hill-hill and Riley was the one to put the final 9-ball down to advance to finals.
Riley and Hamor met for a rematch in the finals and this time it was Riley who prevailed to put her mark on Hamor and secure her first KBP Tiger Ladies tour win.
