Today in Marietta, GA, the International Pool Tour added two new members to its roster list: Brian Groce of Columbus, IN, and Shane Van Boening of Sioux Falls, SD.
Groce was the first player to earn his card, winning the no-loss final match against Van Boening 10-6. Van Boening met with Vilmos Foldes of Hungary in the one-loss finals. Foldes was the runner-up in both matches at the first qualifier, and though he held a 9-5 lead in the race to 10, he came up empty on his final break and never shot again. Van Boening cleared that rack and then broke and ran the next four to win the match and his IPT card 10-9.
