The Jacoby Cues Great Lakes Tour drew a field of hopefuls from Minnesota, Ohio, Illinois and Michigan to the Billiard Caf? in Battle Creek, MI this weekend for a chance to earn a spot in the WPBA Southeast Classic in Hollywood, Florida.
Tour director Julie Melman started strong with dominating wins over Julie Eckman, Mary Whitt and Angela Mears before a 7-4 win over Kelly Pendleton for the hot-seat.
Melman's opponent in the finals, CJ Jerome, took a much longer route as she started with a 7-5 win over Gail Grecar and then lost to Angela Mears 7-3. Jerome bounced back with wins over Lisa Berk, Sheri Cole, Sunny Ulrich, Tammy Zetzer and Kelly Pendleton.
The final match started out close with both players tied at 1-1, but quickly became a blow-out as Jerome proceeded to win the next eight games for a 9-1 match win.
The Great Lakes Tour will be at Playtime Billiards in Portage, MI for their next event on June 11-12.
