Glenn Atwell bounced back from a loss in his first match to win the Pechauer West Coast Tour Stop at KC's Midway Bar & Grill in Oregon City, OR.
Atwell started the tournament with a 9-3 loss to Stan Tourangeau. Tourangeau remained undefeated until Sunday evening when he faced off against Steve Lingelbach for the hot-seat. The players engaged in an all-out safety battle, with Lingelbach finally coming out the 9-6 winner.
Tourangeau took the trip to the one-loss side just in time to see Atwell finish sending tour points leader Paul Potier to the bleachers 9-5. Tourangeau then faced off with Atwell for the right to play Lingelbach in the finals. Tourangeau made it to the hill first at 8-7, but Atwell redeemed his earlier loss with a 9-8 win this time.
With the momentum of 9 straight wins on the left side of the board, Atwell went on to win a hard fought victory over Lingelbach 13-10 in the single elimination finals.
Atwell collected $1000 for first, while Lingelbach took home $650 for second. Tourangeau and Potier filled out the top four spots.
The Pechauer West Coast Tour will be at Buffalo Billiards in Cotati, CA on February 28th - 29th for their next event.
