Some of the biggest names in pool have and will show up for this one. With a limited field of 128 and a $75.00 entry fee $4000.00 added and two players auction at noon each day, this tournament fills fast with waiting lists number in the double digits at most of the events.
No player has won this tournament twice. With past champions like current U.S. Open Champion and local resident Jeremy Jones along with Johnny Archer, Jr. Harris, Shannon Bryant and current Houston Open Champion Gabe Owens. This is a tournament you don't want to pass on.
A cash pay-out of over $10,000 for 1st place at the last tournament and pay-outs as large as $15,000 for 1st place at past events, makes the Houston Open one of the largest tournaments in the state of Texas. It's not a tournament for the player that needs a break with races to 9 on the winners and races to 7 on the losers side this is a shot gun tournament with matches called as soon as tables are free. If you win this tournament you have earned it!
