Promoters Denis & Patricia Strickland put on a great event located at Legends Billiards in League City TX. on March 22 & 23. Top players such as Jeremy Jones, Cliff Joyner, Gabe Owen, Bobby Pickle, Johnny Morrow, Ronnie Allen, Al Mason & Shannon Bryant helped fill the 128 player chart. With the top two picks Jeremy Jones and Charlie Bryant drawing each other in the first round it was the start to a great weekend of 9 Ball with Jeremy winning that match 9-6. Jeremy continued with wins over Johnny Morrow 9-5, Bobby Pacheco 9-6, Lanny Herring 9-3 and Franco 9-6 before running in to Gabe Owen. Gabe Owen had a great tournament with wins over Cliff Joyner 9-8, Ismail Ramirez 9-6, James Roberts 9-8, Al Mason 9-7, Clint Freeman 9-0 and Jeremy Jones 9-7 winning the winners side and waiting for the chance to avenge last weeks results at Breakers with a 9-4 loss to Jeremy in the finals. It was Gabe's turn to hand Jeremy 2nd place with a final score of 9-5. Johnny Morrow turns in another great performance with a 3rd place finish with wins over Elby Tyson 9-7, Mike Arnett 9-6, Jerry Blackstock 9-2. Both of Johnny's loses came from Jeremy 9-5 & 9-5.
