Dawn Hopkins and Kia Sidbury
With only five players in attendance on March 24th, the Garden City 9-Ball Tour’s ladies event at Black Diamond Billiards in Union, NJ was changed to a round robin format with the two best records playing a final match to determine a winner.
The ladies competed over five rounds of play with Dawn Hopkins and Kia Sidbury emerging as the top two players.
The finals were a rematch of the first match each lady played. That match went to Kia 7-5, but the finals were a different story as Dawn came back from a 3-0 deficit to defeat Sidbury by the same 7-5 scoreline.
For first place, Hopkins pocketed $160 in prize money as well as a beautiful Champions plaque and a QuicSlick shaft maintenance system donated by Billiards Engineering. Sidbury settled for $100 along with plaque and QuicSlick.
The Garden State Tour thanked Black Diamond Billiards for hosting the event, Billiards Engineering for the QuicSlicks, and the players for coming and having a really good time.
