Kelly Fisher has won her second Women's Tournament of Champions at Harrah's Resort Southern California.
Fisher started things off in the first match of the day on Wednesday October 8th against Karen Corr. This unique event features two races to four with one sudden death game if the two players split the two races. That was exactly what happened against Corr as Fisher took the first race 4-2, but dropped the second 4-3. Fisher actually missed the 9-ball in the sudden death game, but Corr would also miss the 9-ball and Fisher made the ball to win the match.
The second match of the day featured the reigning champion Ga-Young Kim vs Allison Fisher. The first race was a close one that went Fisher's way 4-3, but the second set was all Fisher with a 4-0 win setting up the Fisher vs Fisher final match.
Both races were close in the finals, but Kelly squeaked out a 4-3 win in the first and then won the second set 4-2 for her second Tournament of Champions title in five years and $20,000 in prize money.
