Karen Corr earned her 4th WPBA title of the year with a 7-6 victory of Allison Fisher in a final match that turned out to be one of the stranger matches of the year. Leading by a score of 6-5, Corr missed a shot she was forced to hurry on the 9-ball when tournament director Steve Tipton told her she has already taken her one extension for the game. After referring to the ESPN tape, it was determined that Corr had not taken her extension and the shot was set back up on the table to allow Karen to try it again. Even this second chance was not enough as Corr missed the ball again, allowing Fisher to tie the match 6-6. Fisher however, came up empty on the following break allowing Corr to run to a combination/carom on the 3-ball that sunk the 9-ball for the win.
