The qualifying rounds of snooker’s World Championship will be staged at Ponds Forge International Sports Centre in Sheffield for the first time next April, and tickets are now on sale.
Famous names such as Steve Davis, Jimmy White, Ken Doherty and rising stars like Jack Lisowksi and Michael White are likely to be among those in action in the qualifiers, which run from April 8 to 16, 2014.
All players seeded outside the top 16 will be battling for places in the final stages at the Crucible Theatre.
Tickets cost just £10* for a full day, exceptional value for the chance to see many leading players competing in snooker’s biggest tournament.
A spokesman for World Snooker said: “The World Championship qualifiers always offer an extraordinary mixture of drama and top class action. To get through to the final stages at the Crucible and finish the season on a high means so much to the players and the pressure is intense. The chance to watch a full day for just a tenner should not be missed by anyone who enjoys sport. Fans should book immediately as tickets could sell out fast.”
