Matchroom Pool announced today that they are postponing the upcoming World Pool Masters event that was to take place in Gibraltar. In that same announcement, they said that the 2020 US Open 9-Ball Championship is still on, but that they are continuing to monitor the situation. That seems to be the same status for the upcoming Super Billiards Expo, as Allen Hopkins announced on his website that he was “closely monitoring the situation and would make a decision on the evidence presented in the upcoming days”.
Two events that are not waiting to make a decision are the 2020 Bucharest Open and this weekend’s Predator Pro Am Tour stop. Both of these events have been cancelled. The Predator Tour stop, which was scheduled to take place at Steinway Billiards in Astoria, NY will be rescheduled. The organizers of the Bucharest Open are still working on a rescheduling decision.
