For the remainder of the 2011/12 season, any player fines which result from World Snooker contract disciplinary issues will be donated to Haven House Children's Hospice.
World Snooker Chairman Barry Hearn said: "Any well-run business has rules to be followed, and in ours those rules are in the players' Professional Tour contract.
"World Snooker does not wish to financially benefit from any fines imposed on players who are in breach of contract. So we have decided to donate those fines in their entirety to Haven House Children's Hospice.
"I don't want to see any player break our rules, but if they do so I will be delighted to see Haven House benefit, as this season we are aiming to raise a minimum of £120,000 for them, which is ten per cent of their running costs."
Haven House, in Woodford Green, Essex, is World Snooker's official charity for the current season. It cares for children and young people between the ages of 0 to 19 who have life-limiting conditions.
