Shannon and Barry Statement on U.S. Open

Everyone,

My dad and I are very sorry about the developments at our U.S. Open 9-Ball Championships this year that left some players temporarily unpaid. We now commit to pay every player their full due by no later than Tuesday, November 13, eight days from now.

We also want everyone to know that we heard them and that the U.S. Open will be back in one large room next year and forevermore. We will attempt to escrow the entire prize amount but this is dependent upon our sponsors being able to provide funding earlier than is usually the case.

Thanks to all of you who have supported us and our event through good times and bad. You are the reason that the U.S. Open has continued on unabated for so many years.
