The ladies of the Hunter Classics Womens Tour are in action this weekend at Paradise billiards in Denver, CO with a field of 40 players. This event is a qualifier for the WPBA Cuetec Cues Canadian Classic, and many of the top regional players are playing for that qualifier.
Julia Gabriel, who won the Hunter event last month is in attendance at this one. She will have her hands full though. Other top players at this event are Pam Bell from Minnesota who is one pro point away from touring pro status, Phoebe Choy (pictured) from Hawaii who is starting to make a lot of fans sit up and take notice of her play already, Terri Kelley who recently placed third in the BCA Open 8-Ball Championships master division, and local player Jackie Broadhurst who won the Open division at the BCA event. The field also includes Leslie Anne Rogers, Anna Kostanian and Kristin Haney all vieing for that WPBA spot.
The field will be cut down to 12 players Saturday night, and we will have an update on everything then.
