Dimitri Jungo took advantage of home-field advantage and went undefeated through a field of 124 other players to win the 2003 Mike Massey Open held at the Pool & Snooker Club Kakadu in Bettlach Switzerland on May 2 - 4.
Jungo dropped a hill-hill match to Urs Furrer, but bounced back with a 7-0 win over Bora Anar to get into the final bracket of eight players competing for the title. Once he made it into the final eight, Jungo scored a 11-5 win over countryman Sascha Specchia, and then an 11-3 win over the events founder, Mike Massey.
The win over Massey assured Jungo of at least a second place finish, but that was not enough for Jungo as he went on defeat German Champion Michael Schmidt 11-9 in the finals.
