Day two of the Viking Tour Southern Classic Open is complete at The Pool Room 2 in Duluth, Ga. and two rounds are complete on the winners side of the 8-ball division.
Round two on the winners side saw such notables as Larry Nevel, Buddy Hall, Ronnie Wiseman, John Macias, Wade Crane and Cliff Joyner handed quick tickets to the one loss side. Crane's loss was courtesy of Helena Thornfeldt who now has wins over Chris Bartrum and Crane under her belt. She will face Brian Jones on Thursday. Other marquee winners side matches will see Danny Harriman face Shannon Daulton and Jerry Slivka take on Shawn Putnam.
Earlier in the day on Wednesday, Larry Nevel finished up his run through the one loss side of the one pocket division with a 5-3 win over Shawn Putnam for the event win.
Brackets are online for both the one pocket and 8-ball divisions and will be updated all week long. One loss side matches start at noon on Thursday, with winners side matches scheduled to start at 4pm.
