The WPBA website is reporting that Allison Fisher has defeated Karen Corr in the finals to win the WPBA Midwest Classic.
Fisher took the hot-seat with a hill-hill win over Corr on Saturday evening and then waited while Corr eliminated Monica Webb 7-5 in front of the ESPN cameras. Fisher then handed Corr loss #2 for the tournament win.
While Fisher will maintain her #1 position on the WPBA poinst list, the second place finish will bring Corr back to within 50 points and will give Corr a chance to regain the #1 position if she wins the Florida Classic in September.
Fisher won $9000 for first place, while Corr took home $6500. Webb and Kim Shaw filled out the top four spots with Melissa Herndon and Sarah Ellerby finished tied for 5th.
