The Pechauer West Coast Tour's 2003-2004 schedule ended with a bang as a field of 80 players came to Hollywood Billiards in Los Angeles looking for a share of the $7500 added prize money.
Ernesto Dominguez was untouched on Saturday and continued his winning ways on Sunday with a 9-4 victory over Paul Potier and a 9-6 win over Ismael Paez to get to the match for the hot-seat. His opponent for the hot-seat was Butch Barba who was having an outstanding tournament so far. Barba took an early 4-1 lead in the match for the hot-seat, but Dominguez took control of the match and won 9-5.
Barba's opponent in the semi-finals was Max Eberle, who had lost a hill-hill match to Dominguez late Saturday and was itching for another shot at Dominguez. Barba took an early lead against Max, but again lost momentum as Max scored the 9-6 win.
The final match between Dominguez and Eberle was another close one with Dominguez coming out on top by the score of 13-11.
Dominguez earned $3000 for first place, while Eberle took home $2000 for second. Barba and Dave Hemmah filled out the top four spots. Tour points leader Stan Tourangeau ended up in 9th place, which was enough to give him 1st place on the season ending points list.
