Sarah Ellerby has been named the 2002 AzBilliards Women's Rookie of the Year. This award is given based on performance by a player in their first year as a touring pro on the WPBA tour.
Sarah should be no stranger to regular visitors to the site, as we introduced her to the site back in June of 2001 when she earned her first touring pro point. Since then, Sarah has earned her touring pro status, climbed to #14 on the WPBA points list and asserted dominance of the Ladies Spirit Tour where she regularly plays.
Sarah started 2003 on a positive note with a second place finish at the Texas Tornado event at Fast Eddie's in San Antonio TX and then a win last weekend at the Ladies Spirit Tour season opener.
