For those of you keeping score, the Michigan Players Tour will be wrapping up a little something for the holiday season. Like many other tours, the season finale will kick off this Friday, December 19th and play through the 21st at Break Room in Grand Rapids, Michigan (616-454-0899).
To start the weekend off, you can find top name Johnny Archer in Grand Rapids on Thursday offering a pool school from 11 am-3 pm and an exhibition match that evening at 8 pm against Richie Richeson – admission is $3. On Friday, Archer is scheduled to have another school day at Chalky's Que Stick Cafe (same hours as above), then come over to Break Room to play in the MPT mini event. Registration for the mini nine-ball event begins at 6 pm and play will start up at approximately 7 pm (entry $30 if you would like to participate).
Raffle tickets at a mere cost of $20 for a chance at winning a spot at “pool school” are being sold at www.playerstourproductions.com or contact miplayerstour@aol.com The school runs $200 for a minimum of four hours of training with one of the top players out there on the trail.
