The Chesapeake Area Tour held their September stop at Champion Billiards Sports Café in Frederick, MD where Rachael Abbink ran undefeated through the field for the win.
Abbink survived a scare in her first match, as Ellen Yu took her to hill-hill before Abbink scored the win. Abbink would not allow another opponent to the hill during the rest of the event. Abbink took the hot-seat with a 7-5 win over Gail Grecar.
Grecar then defeated Morgan Steinman on the one-loss side to earn a rematch with Abbink in the finals. The final match was all Abbink as she cruised to a 7-1 win.
Abbink earned $320 for the win, plus a qualifier to the WPBA event in February of 2005. Grecar settled for $230 in prize money. Steinman and Karen Armstrong filled out the top four spots.
The CAT Tour will be at Bill & Billies CuesPort in Arnold, MD on October 9th-10th for their season finale, a qualifier for the WPBA stop in March 05.
