The Viking Cue Amateur 9-Ball Tour was at Shooter's Pool & Billiards in Greensboro, NC. the weekend of Sept 27th & 28th. The Viking Cue Amateur 9-Ball Tour events gave away $5545 in prize monies this weekend including paid entry to the ATS $20,000 event to the 1st place winner. The Viking Cue 9-Ball Tour and Shooters hosted 83 players this weekend. The weekend kicked off Friday nite with a $25 entry fee mini tournament.
The Viking Cue Amateur 9-Ball Tours $2000 Added main event kicked off Saturday at 1pm and hosted 68 participants including 8 free entries for women and junior players. The Viking Cue Amateur 9-Ball Tours main event was played on bar boxes and paid out a total of $4470 to the top 16 players.
Rodney Andrews went undefeated to take his first 1st place win in the event. Andrews drew a bye in round one and proceeded to best Gary Potts 9-4; Billy Ophardt Jr 9-4; Chad Pieper 9-5; Corey Hockenberry 9-6; Ritchie Tuttle 9-6; Jeff Bean 9-4 and Mike Hampton 9-8 in set #1 of the double elmination format of the finals.
"Brooklyn" Mike Hampton placed 2nd this weekend. Hampton began strong defeating Joey Willimas 9-5; Micheal Smith 9-8; Kyle Farmer 9-7; Jerry Hilton 9-8 before being sent to the one loss side by Ritchie Tuttle 9-7. From the one loss side Hampton fought his way back to the finals by defeating Matt Reed 9-8; Andy Hutchens 9-8; Redgie Smallwood 9-8; Eddie Little 9-8; and Jeff Bean 9-6 before facing Andrews in the finals.

The Viking Cue Amateur 9-Ball Tour kicked off it's $500 Added event on Sunday at 1pm it was won by Jeff Pruitt . Pruitt began his bid for 1st by defeating Eric Ridge 7-3; but was quickly sent to the one loss side by Joe Hughes 7-2; Pruitt worked his way back to the finals by defeating Barbara Beatty 7-1; Matt Thompson 7-1; Stanley Smallwood 7-2; Daniel Hill 7-5; Scott Johnson 7-4; Pruitt once again had to face Hughes but this time it was in the finals and Pruitt had to double dip Hughes to take his 1st place win which is just what happened Pruitt won set 1--7-6 and came back to win set 2 --7-5.
