Last spots are awarded today through open qualification tournaments
Wednesday, 31 August 2011: The World Junior and Wheelchair 9-ball Championships are about to begin tomorrow, September 1st, 2011, in Hotel Lysogory, Kielce, Poland. Today, the last remaining spots are played for in two qualification tournaments in the boys and in the girls division.
12 girls from six countries play for four spots in the main field while 38 boys from nine countries battle it out for five spots in their respective division.
The venue consists of nine tables plus one arena table. All tables are equipped with cameras and can be viewed live during the whole day at http://www.makmarketing.pl/worldchampionships2011/live_streaming.php.
It will probably take all day until the qualification events are finished. Right after that, at approximately 22:00 local time, the player's meeting will take place and the draws for the Championship will be done.
