The 2004 Midwest Billiard Expo is underway at the Pheasant Run Resort just outside of Chicago Il.
The players are arriving and the One Pocket & Bank Pool Divisions got underway on Wednesday with top players including Glen Rogers, Grady Mathews, US Open Champion Gabe Owen, Marco Marquez, Cliff Joyner, Shannon Daulton, Earl Strickland and Nick Varner in his first event back after surgery. There are still many divisions to get started including 8-ball and 9-ball for men and women, a seniors division, and a juniors division.
Other parts of the event are a party for AzBilliards forum members and a special birthday party for Leonard Bludworth.
