The 2004 Glass City Open will get underway on Wednesday with a field of 96 players competing for the $40,000 guaranteed prize fund.

Top stars in attendance include Gabe Owen, Johnny Archer, Corey Deuel, Ronnie Wiseman, Danny Basavich, Shawn Putnam, Jeremy Jones, Rodney Morris, Earl Strickland, Luc Salvas, Tommy Kennedy, Nick Varner, Charlie Bryant, Keith McCready and Buddy Hall.

Things got underway on Tuesday with a 16 man mini-tournament ran by Jose Burgos of 'Hampton Ridge 9-Ball Tour' fame. The mini tournament came down to a hill-hill match between Keith McCready and Luc Salvas. Balls were flying in to pockets so fast in this match, that if you blinked you might miss a game. Salvas won the case game and pocketed $400 with McCready earning $250 for second.

The players and fans were treated to a full buffet dinner on Tuesday night as well as a magic show by Patrick The Magician. Festivities also included the players wishing birthday wishes to both Troy Frank and Steve McAninch who were celebrating birthdays on Tuesday night.

Complete brackets are online and a photo gallery from Diana Hoppe will be posted Tuesday night.
