James Baraks has closed down the year with some impressive performances, and this weekend at the Viking Cue 9-Ball Tour stop held at Cue-N-You Billiards in Grayslake Illinois was no exception.
Baraks dominated the field of 44 players to go undefeated and take first place. Baraks took the hot-seat with a 7-2 win over Will Freeman. Freeman then dropped a hill-hill decision to Manuel Chow on the one-loss side and was forced to settle for third place.
Chow had lost to Baraks 7-3 earlier in the event and wanted nothing more than to exact his revenge over Baraks in the finals. That was not to be though, as Baraks cruised to a 7-4 win over Chow in the finals. The four games that Chow won tied the most that Baraks allowed against him during entire event. For the event, Baraks record was 49-20.
Baraks pocketed $600 for first, while Chow settled for $400 in second place prize money. Freeman and Danny Gohkel filled out the top four spots.
The Viking Cue 9-Ball Tour will be at Numan's Billiards in Johnson City, TN for their next event next weekend.
