Daniel Maciol of Poland showcased his versatility once again by downing Jeffrey De Luna of the Philippines, 11-2, in the semifinals and Mario He of Austria, 13-4, in the finals and ruling the the money-rich Qatar World Cup 10 Ball Championship at the Ezdan Palace Hotel in Doha, Qatar last Saturday, December 14, 2024.
With a total pot prize of $450,000, Maciol will go home with the champion’s purse of $100,000 for his victory—the largest prize purse ever for a 10-ball event.
This achievement marks a significant milestone in Macioł’s young career and builds on his earlier success this year, when he captured the title at the Polish Dynamic Billard 10-Ball Open in March according to 77.billiards.
On his way to the final four, Maciol defeated Ruslan Chinahov of Russia, 11-7, in the Round-of-16 and Alex Kazakis of Greece, 11-7, in the quarterfinals.
