BEF Announce Winner Of Olhausen Billiards Pool Table In Support of Team USA for 2024 World Jr Championships

During the 2024 Predator WPA World Junior Championships in Hamilton, New Zealand, the Billiard Education Foundation (BEF) did a live drawing for the lucky winner of the all-black Grand Champ Olhausen pool table (MSRP $9,870), generously donated by Olhausen Billiards to support Team USA’s rising junior players. The winner, James Fletcher from Odessa, Texas, surprised everyone with a selfless gesture: he donated the table back to Robert Orta, the junior player who sold him the winning ticket.

“Thank you, Olhausen, for your generous support! I was so excited to hear who won the table!” said Robert Orta, a member of Team USA Juniors. “Big thanks to Mr. Fletcher for always supporting me! I can’t believe I’ll finally have my own table to practice on to continue improving.”

Olhausen’s donation has rallied supporters from across the nation, and the raffle’s proceeds will go directly toward helping fund Team USA’s journey to international competition.

“We are thrilled that James Fletcher has not only won the table but chose to give it to one of our talented young athletes,” said Shane Tyree, BEF managing director. “Moments like this show the power of community and the generosity that fuels our sport.”

This donation marks an exciting chapter for Team USA’s junior athletes, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the partnership of industry leaders like Olhausen Billiards. Thanks to supporters like Mr. Fletcher and Olhausen, young athletes like Orta now have the tools they need to continue pursuing their dreams.

Tickets or this prize were available for a suggested donation of $25 each with 100% of the donations going directly to the individual players.
