A veritable “who’s who” of Filipino talent is joined by the top international players in General Santos in the Philippines this week for the 2nd Manny Pacquiao Cup Singles and Doubles events.
The singles event kicked off on December 8th with 120 players competing in eight brackets. The top four players from each group will then advance to a 32 player single elimination bracket.
The event boasts $50,000 in added prize money with $13,000 going to the eventual first place finisher.
In limited matches on Monday, the crowd did not witness much in the way of major upsets, with the biggest names dropping first round matches being Raymond Faraon and Ruben Bautista.
