With just 6 players left at the start of Saturday, all of the day's action came from the 'Losers Side' of the draw.
In an all Chinese clash, Xi Hongyu beat Zhao Ruliang 12-8. The only remaining non-Chinese players left met in the other tie, with two time champion Potts (England) seeing off Francisco Diaz Pizarro (Spain) 13-6.
Come the evening session, those two winners would face off in a match that was labelled as 'revenge' because Xi had defeated Potts 11-10 earlier in the tournament on the 'Winners Side'.
The experienced host nation cueist began well in establishing a 5-3 lead, however the tables would dramatically turn with Potts going on a 10 frame winning spree which ultimately guided him to a 14-8 victory.
Potts will play Shen on Sunday, with the winner then advancing into Monday's Grand Final against Zhang (this will be a one-off championship match).
