2011 AWBT Schedule kicks off April 16th

The Arizona Women’s Billiard Tour (AWBT) starts its 13th season Saturday, April 16, with a double-elimination, nine-ball tournament at Bull Shooters in Phoenix.

The $400 added, two-day event, will be played on nine-foot tables and gives women players a chance to qualify for the Women Professional Billiard Association’s annual Regional Tour Championship. Susan Williams, the AWBT’s top point getter in 2010, finished second this year at the RTC and qualified for her WPBA tour card.

The AWBT has scheduled six events for it’s 2011 season and also added a new co-director, Tres Kane. Co-director Kristie Ortega has been an AWBT director for several years and invites people who want more information to visit the AWBT website at awbt.net.

June 11-12 – Kitty’s, Phoenix (9-ball on 7’ tables) $400 added

August 5-7 – Pockets, Tucson (9-ball on 9’ tables) $400 added

September 10-11 – Bull Shooters, Phoenix (9-ball on 9’ tables) $400 added

October 8-9 – Time Out Lounge, Tempe (8-ball on 7’ tables) $400 added
