Biography

Rodney Morris turned professional in 1995 when he was 24 years old. In 1996 he captured his biggest crown to date when he defeated Efren Reyes to win the U.S. Open 9-Ball Championship. He won the Sands Regency Reno Open in 2001 and 2003 and the Tour Championship in 2006.  He also scored wins at the PBTA Championship in Puerto Rico and at the 2007 Steve Mizerak Championship. "The Rocket" is a well-known fan favorite due to his vibrant personality that comes across very well on camera. He is one of the most popular members ever of the American Mosconi Cup team and draws a crowd to his table wherever he appears. In his spare time Mr. Morris enjoys Basketball, Golf, Tennis and Volleyball. His favorite pool player is Steve Mizerak and his other sports heroes include Tiger Woods. Mr. Morris is sponsored by Poison Cues.
