    Delawder and Davis Double up

    Stroker’s Palm Harbor, Fl was the latest venue to host the $2000 added KF Cue Tour event.

    The amateur event kicked of Saturday with a strong 52 player field. The weekend would be a break out one for Custom cue Builder Eddie wheat making his way to the hot seat with wins over Brian Irwin 7-6, Justin McNulty 7-6, Jim Sandaler 7-4 and then a 7-4 win over Bill Stoll which would guarantee him coming back Sunday morning to play the Mike Delawder on the winner side. Sunday would see 4 players come back among on the one loss side Mark Wathen would play Marc Shenandoah with Wathen going on to win this one 5-3 he would now face Delawder who had showed up late for his winners side match putting Eddie Wheat in hot seat without hitting a ball. Delawder quickly shrugged the forfeit off and would go on to beat Mark Wathen 5-3 and then take revenge on Wheat with an 8-2 win to take his 2nd event of the season.

    Sundays $1000 Added open event would see a very strong 43 players show up with some notable names which included Mike Davis, John Morra, Richard Broumpton, Justin Hall, Richie Richeson to mention a few. The surprise player on the day was Eddie Wheat who shrugged off an earlier loss in the Amateur final to make his way to his 2nd hot seat of the day with strong wins over David Boyd 7-2, Richard Broumpton 7-3, Louie Smith 7-0, Richie Richeson 7-4 to get to the final side to face Tony Crosby. Crosby made his way to the finals with wins over Bill Dunsmore 7-5, James Roberts 7-2, Casey Grove 7-3, Trevor Braymore 7-5 and then John Morra 7-4. The hot seat match would see Crosby take a 2-1 lead only to miss a 9 ball which would now swing the momentum back to Wheat who went on to play some great pool and take advantage of the mistakes that Crosby made to take this match with a 7-5 win.

    With 43 players and a late start to the day this event would go into the early hours with Mike Davis getting stronger as the clocked ticked. Davis who had taken an earlier loss to Morra would go onto beat Richard Broumpton 7-0, Justin Hall 7-3, Richie Richeson 7-4, Dan Lavoie 7-4 and then a 7-4 win over Tour Director Tony Crosby to put himself in the final which would be a single race to 7.

    Davis would go onto win his 2nd event of the season with a strong 7-1 win over Wheat.
